Illegal Wildlife Trade is driving species to extinction

They come with snares, traps and poison to take the bodies of tigers.

Why? A tiger's body can fetch over US$70,000 in Asia, where it's much sought after for its supposed healing powers.

With these huge profits on offer, poachers are sophisticated, well organised criminals, - often using helicopters, night vision equipment, tranquilisers and silencers.

Tigers don't have a chance against this cruel, illegal and devastating trade.

What you can do

Already, there are as few as 3,200 tigers left in the wild. We can't let these iconic animals be wiped from the face of the Earth - get behind the major global effort and help us to:

STOP the poachers by increasing anti-poaching patrols in known poaching hotspots.

STOP traffickers on trade routes by increasing controls at airports and ports, helping to intercept criminals and their illegal cargoes.

STOP demand on the streets by running education and awareness campaigns to dispel the myths and change people's thinking about wildlife body parts.

If we don't keep fighting, we will lose the battle. Will you be part of our biggest ever initiative to STOP Illegal Wildlife Trade?

Rhinos and elephants are also under threat from Illegal Wildlife Trade.
